I often walk through the peaceful area of Kotu rice fields accompanied by the song of the great variety of birds and the sound of the occasional monkey crashing through the trees. Below the image of the rice fields is a young jacana about 2 weeks old that I saw on a recent walk.
The other birds area white-backed night heron, malachite kingfisher, Sengal parrots, and blue-breasted kingfisher all common visitors to Kotu rice fields.
If you would like to see these and many more birds I offer 2 or 3 hour walks in the Kotu area just contact me.
